Meet the Alden Hills Team

  • Levi Powers

    FARM MANAGER

As Farm Manager, Levi’s adaptability and fast-paced approach to work is valuable both in the office as well out in the pasture with the animals. Although he spends more time in the office these days, one of Levi’s favorite parts about his work at Alden Hills is the variety. A week on the farm may include everything from working with animals to sales calls to repairing equipment or building a fence.

Born and raised in Wisconsin and with an education in Business Management, Levi didn’t have any experience in farming when he started at Alden Hills, something he believes is actually a good thing! Levi approaches his work at Alden Hills with grit and a determination to raise the best meat you can find.

In his free time, you can find Levi spending time with family, reading, listening to historical podcasts, or watching a Chicago Bears or Wisconsin Badgers game.

  • Emily Powers

    FARM MANAGER

As co-manager of Alden Hills, Emily approaches her work with creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. She is passionate about raising nourishing food for her family as well as for her community.

Before joining Alden Hills, Emily worked as a social worker for 7 years. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Emily grew up taking weekend trips to her grandparent’s farm.

These days, Emily spends most of her free time listening to music, attending a hot yoga class, thrifting, or spending time outside with her kids and sheep!

  • Ethan Heelein

    LIVESTOCK MANAGER

Bringing energy and creativity a to Alden Hill’s team, Ethan spends much of his time outside with the herd. Ethan started at Alden Hills as summer help during the summer of 2021 and 2022. With a background in Agricultural Education, he became Livestock Manager in 2022.

Ethan’s creativity and ambition has led to exciting projects on the farm including putting bird house on the fence line to reintroduce different species to the pasture.

In his free time, Ethan spends time camping with his family, visiting his grandparent’s farm, or kayaking.

  • Alida Knudtson

    MARKETING MANAGER

Bringing organization and creativity to the farm, Alida started in 2021 making deliveries. She now handles shipping orders as well as working as the Marketing Manager for the farm.

As a former elementary teacher, Alida loves tapping into her creative side when working on projects or creating material for the farm. She approaches projects with tenacity (although friends and family might call it plain stubbornness:)

Alida happily spends her time growing flowers, reading a variety of historical or true crime books, listening to podcasts, spending time with nieces and nephews, and taking walks with her Golden Retriever. A Wisconsinite through and through, you won’t find her skipping a single Green Bay Packers game!

  • Jordan Ziebell

    POULTRY MANAGER

As the newest member of the team, Jordan began working at Alden Hills in early 2024 as the Poultry Manager. With a degree in Environmental Science and a Minor in Criminal Justice, Jordan is new to farming but has jumped in with both feet, approaching his job with patience and sarcastic humor!

In his role as poultry manager, Jordan enjoys being able to work with animals and spending the majority of his time outdoors. He has also enjoyed taking on a management role at the farm.

In his free time you can find Jordan spending time on his artwork, playing board games with friends, or listening to Drake and R&B. He also enjoys hobbies like cooking, gardening, and reading.

  • Joseph

Growing up on a family farm, Joseph is used to working with a variety of animals and farm equipment. When not working at Alden Hills, Joseph spends much of his time helping out on the family farm. He also enjoys hobbies like fishing, restoring his Grandpa’s tractor, and playing volleyball with friends.

Here at Alden Hills, Joseph enjoys working with the cow and calf herd as well as making hay. The task he doesn’t enjoy is moving chicks out of the brooder into the pasture.
