How much meat is in a share?

We offer several different options for purchasing a share. The smallest beef share contains approximately 20 pounds of meat while a whole beef side contains approximately 335 pounds of meat. You can purchase a 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or a whole beef share. We also have a small and large pork share available. Small pork shares contain about 50 pounds of meat while the large share contains about 110 pounds of meat. For a full list of how much meat and which cuts are included in each share, click HERE!

How much does a share cost?

To purchase a share, you will pay a deposit to reserve your share ranging from $100-$250. This is not the total price of a share. After we put your share together, we will calculate the total price of your share. Beef shares cost $13.80/pound. Pork shares cost $12/pound. We will deduct the deposit that you paid to reserve your share from the total of your share before charging you the balance.

When can I expect my share to be delivered or ready for pickup?

We have a limited number of shares available throughout the year. When you purchase a share, you can estimate that your share will be ready for pickup or delivery during the month indicated in the product title. Want to guarantee that you get a share but don’t have the freezer space yet? Reach out to us at sales@aldenhills.com and we are happy to reserve a share for a later month.
